Youth Expanding Services (YES) is a Fort Bend ISD sponsored program for students who want to give back to their community through service and contribution. The purpose of the program is to encourage a lifelong interest in volunteering.
This program promotes volunteerism more than philanthropy. Your community service contribution is recognized by Austin High School when 100 hours of service are accumulated over the course of your high school career (with no more than 25 hours of service in the summer). To gain recognition, students must follow these steps:
The YES Program is the responsibility of the individual student and is completely voluntary. Your willingness to serve the community and your ability to accomplish a long term and worthwhile project is demonstrated by constantly seeking a variety of volunteer opportunities, turning in the required forms in a timely manner and logging of your YES hours; this website is designed to help you achieve that goal. Community service is an integral part of the college acceptance criteria. Your volunteering hours entered in the YES system are a record you can use for your college application along with the certificate you obtain. __________________________________________________________________ New School Year Updates.....
